Established in 2002, Firefighters Without Borders (FWB) is an organization dedicated to helping fire departments around the world recover from devastating emergencies by providing training, equipment, and a strategy for sustainability. Firefighters are dedicated to the communities they serve and constantly strive to deliver the best possible fire protection and prevention. Sometimes however, communities around the globe face insurmountable challenges recovering from a natural disaster or a major blaze which has crippled a community or an entire region.

Firefighters depend on each other everyday, even sometimes when their life depends on it. Firefighters
Without Borders creates a synergy between communities and local fire departments by delivering training programs and providing equipment to give a “hand up” so that communities may re-build and be better prepared for another major emergency.

From auto extrication training to establishing public education programs for children in shantytown schools in developing nations, firefighters team together from every corner of the globe and share their skills and professionalism with fellow firefighters. A FWB crew volunteer their own time and personal expense to transform a fire department into safe, sustainable and confident organization through planned training programs and resource development.
